Bystander Training

Racial Justice Event:  Bystander Training
February 6 @ 1pm

Treat others the way you want to be treated.  Loving our neighbors is not a passive activity; it is not simply sending loving thoughts toward another.  It is actively doing what we can to make sure those around us are safe and well cared for.  In order to make God’s love and justice real, we must stand for and with anyone who is being treated poorly.  That’s not always easy.  Sometimes we don’t know what the best course of action is in the face of disrespect, harassment, and hate violence.

We can learn how to respond in the face of unkindness!  Attend a training at First Church on February 6 at 1pm to help address direct and indirect racism and bullying issues.  Together we can create safety in moments of intolerance.

Rev. Margot Critchfield and Ms. Gretchen Mulroy, representatives from Sandwich for All in partnership with Barnstable No Place for Hate, will be offering this free training at First Church.  Preregistration is required and space is limited.  Please register here:  https://www.eventbrite.com/e/bystander-training-tickets-230581103287
