Crop Hunger Walk 2026

Join us for the Crop Hunger Walk! Walk with us and cheer on the Patriots here at First Church.

First Church is hosting an Upper Cape offshoot of the Cape Cod CROP Hunger Walk right in Sandwich on Sunday, October 11th, inviting teams or individuals to join.  We can end hunger one step at a time!  The 2-mile walk route will begin and end at First Church and meander through our lovely town. Prior to the walk there will be games, music, wagon/stroller decorating, t-shirt decorating, and more.  While walkers are walking, everyone is invited to keep the party going for a celebratory Patriots game watch party at the church!  Families and friends with children and dogs are encouraged to participate in this fun event. Once registered, walkers are provided with resources to easily solicit donations online and in person. Our goal is to raise $3000.  25% of the proceeds are earmarked for the Cape Cod Council of Churches, Lower Cape Outreach Council and the Wellfleet Food Pantry. The remainder of the donations are distributed globally by Church World Service, a faith-based organization transforming communities around the globe through just and sustainable responses to hunger, poverty, displacement and disaster.
