The Outreach Committee Presents...

The Annual 4th of July Strawberry Festival

Come one, Come all, to the Annual First Church Strawberry Festival.

Bring your family and friends! Enjoy home-baked biscuits covered in strawberries and topped with our own fresh whipped cream. There will be cold drinks available, too. As always, there will be singing and laughter.  The Strawberry Festival begins as the Sandwich 4th of July parade comes to an end. The festival provides a great opportunity to bring your family and friends together with our church family for a time of laughter/joy and fellowship.  The proceeds from the festival are used for various needs within our local and international communities.

Strawberry Shortcake is $4.00

Drinks are $1.00

We hope to see you there!!!

First Church Annual Yard Sale And Shell Crafts

Saturday, July 19th, 9am – 2pm

We thank everyone for their donations to our upcoming yard sale.  Donations continue to be gratefully accepted and may be brought to the church (back hallway entrance) no later than Friday (July 18th) morning at 10 AM.   If you have any larger items, please deliver them on the Friday before.  If you require help with transportation, please contact Dotty Kreisinger.  Again, NO SHOES, CLOTHES, TV’s, or COMPUTERS.

The yard sale will occur in the Gates room and outside in the parking lot and yard.  The Shell Crafts will be sold in the vestry along with drinks, hot dogs, and baked goods.  We encourage you to relax in the café while doing your shopping.  Bring your friends, relatives, and visitors for a fun day of shopping and, to use the word loosely, dining.

We would appreciate baked goods (wrapped for individual servings) from all our generous bakers.  Cookies, brownies, muffins, or any other tempting goodies for hungry shoppers will be appreciated.  The baked goods may be dropped off at church any time Friday or Saturday morning by 9 AM.

Watch the bulletin board for an opportunity to sign up to help out at the sale!!

The yard sale is being co-chaired by Pam Baker and Dotty Kreisinger.  Hetty Hayes  and Louise Sharp are organizing the shell crafts sale.  Ed Brabazon and Ted Scribner will be steaming hot dogs in the café!

To be discussed Aug. 5th Breakfast With Buddha “Roland Merullo”

For discussion Sept. 2nd Bound by “Sally Gunning”

For discussion Oct. 7th Loving Frank “Nancy Horan”

See you all soon,
Nancy

**The Wednesday Morning Prayer Group
is taking a summer break and will resume in September.

Many Thanks to Our Ushers

On behalf of the Board of Deacons, we would like to thank all the ushers who have committed themselves to serving each month or as substitutes.  Your service has been invaluable to the congregation, the deacons, and to our staff.

During the summer months, as there is only one service with ushers needed, we suggest that the first service ushers assist during the month of July, while the second service ushers assist during the month of August.  If  this is not possible for you, please call Laurie Ray, or email cloverridge@comcast.net.

Wanted

Someone who can crochet. We need help in putting together 20 knitted squares and to crochet a border around a blanket. The squares are being made by our church women for a blanket to be raffled at our Church Fair in November. Please contact Connie Holt or Irene Coates: windygull@comcast.net  A million thanks!
