Baptisms
The First Church of Christ recognizes two sacraments: Baptism and Holy Communion. Baptism is available for both children and adults. Baptism in the United Church of Christ is a welcoming into our faith community. We encourage all baptisms to be performed during one of our Sunday worship services. However, you may also schedule a baptism outside of the worship service that is mutually convenient to both the pastor and the family.
To request a baptism, please call the church and schedule an appointment with The Rev. Dr. William S. Geertz. Ideally, arrangements should be made four weeks in advance.
